1. Historic Centre of Santa Cruz de Mompox---
Regarded as master piece of Spanish art and culture, this historic hub of Colombia has in fact primarily been the nerve center of varied political and cultural activity since it was founded on 1540. It was established near the banks of the River Magdalena. It was during the 16th to the 19th century that the areas lying to this historical site was developed with the main street developed as dyke.
