French National Flag

 

The French national Flag is a tricolour, with vertical bands of blue, white and red (from Left to Right) each symbolic of a virtue. The French National Flag is deeply embedded in history and has been subjected to various changes and the last modified design was adopted in 1794. The Blue colour denotes liberte or Freedom, White colour denoting égalité or Equality and fraternité denoting brotherhood.
