Saudi Arabia’s history has its foundations in the very ancient civilizations that inhabited in Arabian Peninsula. The history is remembered for being the source from where the major religion Islam came into the lives of Saudi Arabian people. A brief description of the various aspects of the history of the Saudi Arabia is given below-
Early History
Saudi Arabia’s earliest inhabitants were hunter-gatherers that existed around twenty thousand years ago. Their agricultural and domestic practices led to the basis of civilization. The most discernable thing about the Saudi Arabian history is the development of the ancient trade center that resulted from the emergence of trade routes, which in turn led to the formation of important links within the country. Another historical development was the emergence of Islamic Empire, which scattered across the area of Spain, India and China. It promoted the modern scientific learning in Arabic, the native language of the Muslim community. However, after 17th century, the Islamic Empire divided into various Muslim groups.
After that came the Saudi Dynasty, which came to power in 1744, followed by the alliance of Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab, spreading the teachings of Islam. This union formed the basis of the Saudi Dynasty, which flourished thereafter, with transfer of throne to various rulers.
