•  Colonia Tovar--- This great historical site is situated in Cordillera de la Costa. Located towards the west of Caracas, Colonia Tovar was actually founded in 1843 by German settlers. Due to its poor accessibility of communication facilities, the inhabitants of this city remained neglected for a considerable period of time. It was only towards the end of 1940 that Spanish culture and language was introduced among the dwellers of the place. Wide infrastructure facilities were developed only in 1963, though much of the original buildings still remain the same while others are in a dilapidated condition.


 

•  Coro--- Considered as one of the oldest cities of Venezuela, Coro lies on the Caribbean coast and is credited with the establishment of early colonial inhabitation of Venezuela. It was founded on 1527 but only towards the 18 th century, the land flourished as a great trading center. One of the unique features of this historic city of Venezuela is its unmatched old buildings widely representing the livelihood of the earlier generation. Other prominent attractions include the colonial street of Calle Zamora and the Museo de Arte Coro.

• Angel Falls--- It was during one of his tours that Jimmy Angel landed up in this lone mountain area in 1935 in order to satisfy his craving for gold. The amazing white falls of the region made him awe struck and soon it was named Angel Falls. Though the natives of the region named it ‘Salto Angel', the world knows it by the name of Angel. It is located in the Carrao River towards the south east of Venezuela and is regarded as one of the highest waterfalls in the world.
